The Montsant Designation of Origin is a rugged, mountainous region with a long tradition of producing structured and highly elegant wines. The old vines were planted in the soils best suited to each variety: Mazuelo in sandy-clay soils, Syrah in limestone soils and Black Grenache on slate; each variety and soil type contributing to the complexity of this unique wine.
