Born in Madrid, where he pursued his studies as a Specialist Technician in Viticulture at the School of Vine and Wine, and later in Agricultural Technical Engineering. He balanced his studies with work in the sector, accumulating over 25 years of experience. Since 2008, he has been associated with Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya and currently serves as their winemaker.
Alistair Gardner takes on the co-technical direction of Bodegas y Viñedos Shaya. Born in Christchurch (New Zealand) in 1972, he holds a postgraduate degree in Viticulture and Oenology from Lincoln University in his hometown. He has worked in McLaren Vale, Australia, one of the world's most diverse wine regions, at Rosemount Estate. Additionally, he has experience at Chateau Pichón Longueville in Bordeaux.
