Frank, or Paco as he prefers to be called in Spain, is the winemaker at Bodegas Atalaya in Almansa and Bodegas Morca in Campo de Borja. At Bodegas Tridente, he shares the technical direction with Luis Santamaría, forming a highly cohesive team of the highest technical caliber.
Before establishing Cisco Selections, Frank managed wine stores in Melbourne such as "Philip Murphy Wine and Spirits," "Corno Wines" (South Yarra), and "Luxe Cellar" (St. Kilda). He also served as a buyer and sommelier at "Walters Wine Bar" in Southgate, Melbourne. Between 2000 and 2002, he lived and worked in New York, exporting premium Australian wines, and conducting wine appreciation courses. Currently, he owns Cisco Selección, a prominent distribution company in Melbourne with a large base of national and international clients. He takes pride in distributing rare, top-quality wines from around the world. Frank has been associated with Viñas Familia Gil since 2005.
He was born in Zamora in 1984 and has been connected to this city all his life, but primarily to his village, Villanueva de Campeán, where Bodegas Tridente is located. Since 2008, he has been working there and currently serves as its winemaker. He has been involved with agriculture since childhood, coming from a family of vine growers who have cultivated, produced, and marketed wine. He grew up assisting his grandfather in the family winery they had at home. In 2002, he began studying Agricultural Technical Engineering specializing in Agri-food Industries at the University of Salamanca, combining studies with work in local wineries. Upon completion, he pursued a degree in Oenology at the University of Valladolid
